We are currently supporting one of our key clients in the data centre infrastructure space who is looking to engage a QA/QC High Voltage Specialist for a major, multi-phase project in North Rhine-Westphalia.

This is a long-term freelance engagement supporting the installation, QA/QC, and commissioning of high-voltage systems and substations in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

🔧 Scope of Work

  • Mission-critical data centre infrastructure
  • High-voltage systems (HV/EHV) and substation commissioning (GIS/AIS)
  • Complex compliance-driven construction and commissioning programme

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee QA/QC activities for all HV installations and substation components
  • Perform on-site inspections, audits, and technical document reviews
  • Verify FAT/SAT protocols and handover documentation
  • Liaise with electrical contractors, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders

👤 Ideal Candidate

  • Strong QA/QC background in high-voltage (HV/EHV) systems
  • Experience on data centre or other mission-critical infrastructure projects
  • Substation installation and commissioning knowledge
  • Freelance eligible and able to work in the EU/Germany

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
