Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Project

The Role
A leading specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale data centre project in Linz, Austria. This is a freelance position with an immediate start, working on a technically complex, fast-paced build.
You will take commercial ownership of key work packages, supporting project delivery from pre-contract through to final account, with a strong focus on cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of assigned packages on a data centre project
- Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and contract administration
- Valuations, variations, and change control
- Supporting project teams with commercial strategy and risk management
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Working closely with site and project management teams
Requirements
- Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor experience on data centre projects (essential)
- Background with specialist contractors preferred
- Roofing and cladding experience highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of commercial management on large, complex builds
- Comfortable working in an international project environment
- English required (written and spoken)
- German language skills a strong plus, but not essential
