Quantity Surveyor · Hybrid

A client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the civil works package for a large-scale steel mill construction project in Lulea, Sweden.

 

Details:

  • Location: Lulea, Sweden
  • Working arrangement: Freelance
  • Rate: Negotiable (based on experience) - Fixed Monthly
  • On site: 5 days a week
  • Rotation: 4 weeks on-site, 1 week remote
  • Start Date: ASAP

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead Quantity Surveying team
  • Manage cost control, budgeting, and forecasting for civil works packages
  • Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payment applications
  • Track progress on-site and verify quantities against drawings and specifications
  • Identify and manage variations, claims, and commercial risks
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and support monthly reporting
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage junior QS staff as needed

 

Key Requirements:

  • Language(s): English
  • Be familiar with AMA Codes
  • Worked on largescale EPC Projects (€250Mn+ preferable)
  • 10+ years experience as QS

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
