Sales Engineer

A client is currently looking for a project engineer/sales engineer with a background manufacturing to join our client who make polymer products for various different highly regulated industries.

The client is looking for projects engineer who would be interested to support the sales team, post proposal, to help manage the engineering and production process for client orders.

The client have a manufacturing plant based near to Sittard (Limberg region), they require a projects (sales) engineer who will be based onsite, coordinating between sales, engineering, production and managing the final delivery to the client.

START: August, September, October

LOCATION: Netherlands, Limberg region - Sittard

SALARY: €3,000 - €4,500 - - Per month + 8% + package

Sales Project Engineer - Specification - Manufacturing Sector - Plastics

  • Technical engineering background (degree qualified beneficial)
  • Mechanical, Process, manufacturing degree background (mechanical most preferable)
  • 1-3+ years' experience working in manufacturing/production
  • Knowledge of engineering projects delivery, stake holder management, coordination
  • Projects reporting, team coordination, package management
  • Ideally experience with sales, bids, proposals or tenders
  • Full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MSP)

The client requires a Project Engineer to assist with the technical sales team, the ideal candidate will be looking to develop their skill set from an engineer/designer to project engineer. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle; covering proposals, engineering, detailed design, procurement, manufacturing, testing and delivery to the client

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
