- Ensure full compliance with German grid codes, VDE/DIN/IEC standards, and client specifications.
- Manage and execute energisation planning and switching operations where authorised.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Lead technical discussions with TSOs/DSOs and regulatory bodies regarding grid compliance and energisation approvals.
- Provide regular updates to project management and clients on commissioning progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Support project delivery teams with risk management and troubleshooting.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- HV authorisation / switching certification strongly preferred.
- Significant experience (5 + years) in commissioning HV substations or transmission infrastructure.
- Proven track record in a lead or senior role on grid connection or transmission projects.
- Experience on renewable grid integration (wind, solar, BESS) or HVDC projects is highly desirable.
- Strong hands-on experience with testing equipment (e.g. Omicron)
- Strong English skills & professional level of German
