Senior Cost Controller · On-site

We are currently searching for a Freelance Senior Cost Controller for a client of mine working on a major energy‑transition project in Frankfurt. The project includes high‑value procurement, contractor cost management, forecasting, change control, and strict compliance with project cost procedures.

The specific requirement is to join them on a freelance basis, for an initial 12‑month period, with the view to extend.

Freelance Senior Cost Controller / Frankfurt / 12 months initial

· 10+ years of cost controlling or project controls experience on industrial construction, energy, mining, or large‑scale infrastructure projects.

· Strong understanding of cost engineering principles, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and cost reporting.

· Proven experience working with complex multi‑discipline contractor cost reports, progress validation, change control, and variance analysis.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle) and experience with EVM (Earned Value Management).

· Ability to develop and maintain cost baselines, assess financial risks, and support commercial interfaces.

· English and German fluency

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
