With a growing portfolio of projects across Europe, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis for a 9-month engagement.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the electrical design efforts for new and existing renewable energy equipment. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient electrical systems that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for renewable energy equipment.
- Ensure compliance with German and EU electrical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems.
- Support prototyping, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Provide technical documentation and support for manufacturing and installation teams.
- Liaise with suppliers and clients to ensure design requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within the renewables or industrial equipment sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Familiarity with relevant standards (VDE, IEC, etc.).
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
- EU work authorisation required.
