Senior JAVA Developer
Our client is a market leader in the Government and private domain. They are looking for a freelance senior Java developer where you will be renewing an entire application landscape. It will be a good and fun challenge within a proper Agile environment.
What You'll Do
You will deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software, and supporting your team with technical tasks when needed. You'll evaluate and advise on design choices and ensuring that software is high quality and balances technical and business considerations. You will help prioritise and delegate technical tasks across your team, to balance new and live services.
What You'll Bring
- Developing software using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript in a style that supports future maintenance and change.
- Designing new software using appropriate tools and in line with standards, proving designs through prototyping.
- Delivering secure, reliable and scalable software in your team; undertaking a breadth of development tasks.
Tools and Technologies we use:
- Backend: Java
- Data: PostgreSQL, Aurora, AWS RDS, Mongodb, Apache Cassandra - Nice to have
- DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes, Azure, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Terraform - Nice to have
Key requirements:
- Java 17 (+4 years)
- Spring/ Spingboot
- Rest API knowledge - Micro services
- Docker
Desirable skills:
- Kubernetes
- Any lead exposure
- (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Kafka)
- FED knowledge (angular is a real bonus)
- Worked for government clients
