Outside IR35 Consultant Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role - £5.8k-£6.3k net earnings per month

g2 are currently supporting a well-established building services consultancy in East London who are looking to bring on x2 Contract Mechanical Design Engineers for a strong pipeline of mixed-use projects.

 

Key details:

  • Mixed-use schemes
  • RIBA Stages 3/4 onwards
  • 1–2 days per week in the office (hybrid working)
  • IT equipment provided
  • Likely outside IR35 (client-led determination)
  • £45–£48 per hour
  • Immediate start (targeting late February)

LTD Company Earnings Guide:

At £45–£48ph (37.5 hrs/week), this equates to approximately £7,300–£7,800 per month invoiced.

After Corporation Tax (19% - 25% depending on profit levels), this would leave roughly £5,800–£6,300 per month retained in the company, before dividend or personal tax.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
