Senior Project Development Lead | BESS | Hamburg or Munich | Perm

Our client, a market leading independent energy infrastructure platform, are looking for a Senior Project Development Lead to join the team!

If you want to become a pivotal part of whether renewable energy arrives to the system then this could be for you. A multi-national company looking for people willing to be doers and implement strategy, make decisions and take responsibility for operations in Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Structure and prioritise projects from initial stages through to the finish line.
  • Coordination across all phases up to the final investment decision and handover to asset management.
  • network operators, authorities, property owners, municipalities and internal teams e.g. commercial, engineering and investment.
  • Structuring and negotiation of central project contracts.
  • Budget and schedule coordination of external service providers.
  • Ensuring feasibility of projects.
  • Management reports an approvals.

Qualification:

  • Degree in economics, industrial engineering, environmental sciences, engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience (at least 3 years) in the management of projects, ideally in the field of renewable energies or infrastructure projects in a comparable role, for example with a project developer, investment/asset manager, management consultancy, investment banking or private equity.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory and grid-side requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Fluent in German and English.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
