Freelance Senior Construction Project Manager (Remote) - Greenfield Projects | Nordics

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to lead greenfield construction projects remotely across the Nordic region.

About the Role:

As a freelance Senior Construction Project Manager, you will take ownership of complex, multi-million-euro construction projects from inception through completion. You'll work closely with international stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction projects across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and vendors ensuring compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
  • Monitor progress and mitigate risks proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns
  • Drive sustainability initiatives aligned with green building certifications and energy-efficient designs
  • Provide clear and timely reporting to clients and senior management
  • Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams across different countries

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven track record as a Construction Project Manager with at least 5+ years of experience, preferably in greenfield or large-scale industrial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management tools, and Nordic construction regulations
  • Experience working remotely and managing teams across multiple locations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of any Nordic languages is a plus)
  • Ability to travel occasionally within the Nordics as needed

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
