Senior Project Manager · Hybrid

Freelance Project Manager – Insurance (Workers Accidents)

 

Location: Brussels (3 days onsite)

Start: September 2026

Contract: Until end 2026, extendable up to 2 years

Language: French (mandatory)

 

Role:

Lead a strategic transformation to replace a legacy mainframe system with a new IT solution for Workers’ Accidents Insurance. The programme is in the Service Blueprint phase with two solution paths identified.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end project delivery (analysis → implementation)
  • Conduct gap analysis and define business/functional requirements
  • Build business cases, manage €1–5M budget, and control delivery
  • Lead a team of ~20 across business & IT
  • Align stakeholders up to board level; deliver clear presentations & reporting
  • Consolidate inputs across functions into a unified roadmap
  • Lead change management and prepare for 2027 implementation

 

Profile:

  • Strong Project Manager experience in Insurance (P&C / Workers’ Accidents preferred)
  • Proven track record in core system transformation / legacy replacement
  • Business-minded with strong stakeholder & executive communication skills
  • Experienced in requirements, governance, budgeting, and delivery
  • Fluent French (essential); Belgian market experience is a plus

 

Key:

  • Hands-on leader who can bring structure, drive execution, and manage senior stakeholders in a complex transformation.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
