Freelance Site Manager - Industrial Construction Project

Location: Zweibrücken, Germany

Contract Type:Freelance

About the Project:

We are currently managing the construction of a state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Zweibrücken. This project demands experienced leadership on-site to ensure smooth operations, high quality standards, and timely completion.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Freelance Site Manager to oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site. You will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, monitoring progress, and reporting to the project management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily construction activities and site operations
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site trades personnel
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor project progress against schedule and budget
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and project stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit progress reports

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or industrial construction projects, preferably warehouses
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and health & safety standards
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Fluent in German and good communication skills

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
