Senior Site Manager · Hybrid

Site Supervisor / Site Manager – Onshore Wind (Repowering Project)

 

Location: Within 3 hours of Dortmund, Germany

Start Date: July 2026

Contract Duration: Until October 2027

 

G2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor / Site Manager to join a major onshore wind repowering project in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned wind professional to play a key role in ensuring construction quality, compliance, and project delivery across a long-term renewable energy development.

Working as the client's on-site representative, you will oversee critical construction activities, monitor contractor performance, conduct inspections, and provide detailed reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

For exceptional candidates, there may also be opportunities to support additional renewable energy projects in the surrounding region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site activities throughout the wind farm construction programme.
  • Conduct quality inspections and compliance checks across:
  • Civil works
  • Electrical works
  • Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation works
  • Review project documentation, quality records, and contractor reports.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Prepare detailed site reports, observations, and progress updates.
  • Identify quality issues, risks, and non-conformities, supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are consistently maintained on site.
  • Act as a key point of contact between project stakeholders and site teams.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Site Supervision and/or Site Management on onshore wind farm projects.
  • Demonstrable involvement in onshore wind projects within the last 3 years.
  • Strong experience overseeing:
  • Civil construction works
  • Electrical installation works
  • WTG installation activities
  • Proven background in quality assurance, inspections, reporting, and document control.
  • Must be based within 3 hours travelling distance of Dortmund, Germany.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working on wind farm repowering projects.
  • Experience operating within complex construction environments, including:
  • Forest locations
  • Hilly terrain
  • Challenging ground conditions

Additional Information

  • Site attendance is typically anticipated at one day per week, however this may increase to weekly or more frequent visits during intensive construction phases.
  • The project is expected to run until October 2027, offering long-term contract stability.
  • High-performing consultants may be considered for further opportunities across nearby renewable energy projects.
