Simple Lets Officer · Hybrid

A client based in Hertfordshire is recruiting for a Simple lets officer in the housing needs team on an interim basis for the course of 6 months

 

Key Details of the Role:

  • Hybrid working 60/40 split
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Role Overview:

This role will focus on private rented sector procurement to reduce the number of households in temporary accommodation (TA) specifically nightly paid and deliver significant cost savings for the Council.

  • Proactively source and secure private rented properties for households currently in TA.
  • Build strong relationships with landlords and agents to expand housing options.
  • Support homelessness prevention objectives by ensuring successful tenancies.
  • Ensure referrals of suitable tenants for homes procured.
  • Manage paperwork and compliance for tenancy agreements.
  • Liaise with landlords, tenants, agents, and Council departments (Housing Benefit, Environmental Health, etc.) to ensure smooth tenancy management.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English grades A to C
  • Previous knowledge and/or experience of the private rented housing sector

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
