Site Project Manager · On-site

Site Supervisor / Site Manager – Onshore Wind (Repowering Project)

Location: Within 3 Hours of Dortmund, Germany

Start Date: July 2026

Contract Duration: Until October 2027

Commitment: Typically 1 Day Per Week On-Site + Travel (Increasing During Key Project Phases)

g2 Recruitment is supporting a leading renewable energy client seeking an experienced Site Supervisor / Site Manager for a long-term onshore wind repowering project in Germany.

This role will be responsible for overseeing construction quality across all project disciplines, monitoring contractor performance, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project requirements throughout the construction phase.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage on-site construction activities.
  • Carry out quality inspections across:
  • Civil works
  • Electrical works
  • Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation works
  • Review project documentation, records, and quality reports.
  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance with project standards.
  • Produce detailed site reports and inspection findings.
  • Identify risks, non-conformities, and quality issues, supporting corrective actions where required.
  • Act as the client's site representative, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in site supervision and/or site management on onshore wind farm projects.
  • Active involvement in onshore wind projects within the last 3 years.
  • Proven experience overseeing civil, electrical, and WTG installation activities.
  • Strong background in quality assurance, inspections, reporting, and documentation review.
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Based within 3 hours of Dortmund.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous repowering project experience.
  • Experience working in challenging site conditions, including:
  • Forest environments
  • Hilly terrain
  • Complex ground conditions

Additional Information

  • Initial requirement is expected to be approximately one day per week on-site, plus travel.
  • Attendance may increase to weekly or more frequent visits during intensive construction phases.
  • Project duration is expected to run until October 2027.
  • Strong-performing consultants may be considered for additional opportunities on nearby projects.
