G2 are supporting an international IPP to recruit a Freelance Site Project Manager to oversee specialised BESS construction projects located across Germany.
Job Role – Site Project Manager
Industry – Renewable Energy (Battery Energy Storage Systems – BESS)
Duration – 9 Months (extensions expected)
Location – Germany
Rate – Per/Day paid in €
Type of Role – Freelance
Languages – English C1, German C2
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day‑to‑day site management across all BESS construction phases (civil, electrical, balance‑of‑plant, installation, commissioning).
• Coordinate all subcontractors and site personnel to ensure safe, timely and compliant project execution.
• Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, method statements, HSE requirements, German grid standards, and BESS OEM installation guidelines.
• Manage construction quality, site progress reporting, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and daily/weekly site documentation.
• Lead site logistics, materials tracking, and ensure adherence to construction schedules.
Requirements:
• Completed qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or an equivalent technical background.
• Mandatory: Proven experience as a Site Manager.
• Strong understanding of HV/MV works, civil interfaces, battery containers, PCS/inverters, and grid connection processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of German construction/HSE standards.
• Right to work in Germany + ability to be full‑time on‑site.
