About the Company

We are a leading international consulting engineering firm delivering comprehensive planning and consultancy services for complex infrastructure projects. Our core expertise spans the fields of energy, hydropower, and water resources, where we support clients throughout all project phases—from initial concept development to execution and commissioning.

To strengthen our team in Frankfurt, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager for Structural Calculation & Design to support a major infrastructure assignment.

Your Role

As the Project Manager for Structural Calculation/Design, you will lead and coordinate structural engineering work packages for a large‑scale infrastructure project. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that all structural calculations, static analyses, and design documentation are executed to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all structural calculation and design activities related to the project
  • Manage a team of engineers and specialists involved in static calculation, dimensioning, and verification
  • Review, validate, and approve structural calculations, models, and engineering documentation
  • Coordinate with formwork, reinforcement, BIM, and object planning teams
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and client specifications
  • Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders, including designers, planners, and client representatives
  • Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and risk assessments
  • Drive technical problem‑solving and provide expert guidance throughout the design and execution phases
  • Support tender, planning, and execution processes as required

Your Profile

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., MSc, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a structural designer, structural engineer, or structural project manager
  • Strong knowledge of static calculations, structural analysis, and design methodologies
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas (more is a plus):
  • BIM coordination or BIM-based structural design
  • Formwork planning
  • Reinforcement planning
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience managing engineering teams
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with high attention to detail
  • Fluent German required; good English skills are an advantage
  • Experience with large-scale or complex infrastructure projects is highly desirable

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
