Data Centre - Austria
Challenge
Rapid growth in Austria’s data centre sector created an immediate need for g2 Recruitments client to source experienced on-site Electrical Supervisors, Electrical Testers, and Mechanical Fitters. Projects were delivered against tight timelines, strict Austrian and EU regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on ensuring all assurance criteria were met efficiently.
Electrical Supervisors required additional support to manage compliance while coordinating multiple contractors and maintaining programme momentum. Electrical Testers were tasked with delivering accurate, repeatable results under significant time pressure, often within live operational environments. At the same time, Mechanical Fitters faced integration challenges, ensuring cooling, containment, and mechanical systems aligned precisely with the electrical infrastructure.
Without a structured and coordinated resourcing solution, the project faced increased risk of delays, rework, and potential operational impact.
Outcome
g2 Recruitment supported the project by strengthening delivery across all critical roles. By deploying experienced Electrical Supervisors and Testers with proven knowledge of Austrian data centre standards, shift coverage was improved, and testing and inspection processes were standardised. Mechanical Fitters benefited from coordinated scheduling, and clearer interface management with electrical teams, reducing reducing clashes during installation and commissioning phases.
As a result, g2 Recruitment’s client saw measurable improvements in project efficiency and quality. Electrical Supervisors gained greater control over site activities and compliance, Testers achieved faster commissioning cycles with fewer defects, and Mechanical Fitters completed installations with reduced rework and smoother system integration.
Overall, the Data Centre projects were delivered with a higher standard of safety, through improved collaboration, and on schedule, resulting in strengthened, long-term, operational resilience
Data Centre - Germany & Spain
Challenge
g2 Recruitment was tasked with delivering a solution to its client’s challenge of securing and retaining critical skill sets across multiple BESS centre sites in Germany and Spain.
Rather than building permanent internal teams in each location, the client was specifically seeking external contract workers who could be mobilised quickly and scaled in line with project demand.
This approach required access to a flexible workforce with proven experience in mission-critical environments, capable of integrating seamlessly into existing site teams, and operating under established project controls.
The client required consistent access to candidates, including experienced Site Managers and Engineers, Project Managers, Electrical Supervisors, and HSE Advisors to support simultaneous project delivery, while maintaining high safety, quality, and operational standards.
Outcome
g2 delivered a solution centered on flexible contractors, enabling the client to scale resources in line with project phases and timelines.
Vetted contractors with proven data centre and mission-critical experience were mobilised, ensuring all candidates met technical, safety, and compliance requirements. Standardised onboarding and role alignment ensured contractors could integrate quickly into site teams and operate effectively from day one.
Through the utilisation of g2’s vast contractor network and the strategic coordination of workforce planning by g2 consultants across multiple sites, continuity was ensured, project risks mitigated, and delays to project completion minimised.
By providing a reliable, scalable solution to meet critical skill demands while upholding consistent delivery and HSE standards across multiple countries, g2 Recruitment established a synchronous, highly coordinated relationship with their client.
